Multiple members of the Women’s Orange County 600 Club have reached out to me regarding when tournaments will be back in force. I would like to start up tournaments again but need to have active board members available to help with running them.
The club runs six (6) tournaments a year and would like to have 2024 fully booked on everyone’s calendars. In order to have this happen will need new board members to help run them.

We have the following directors position available:
Sergeant-of-Arms – officer usually a legislature, to keep order during our meetings and tournaments.
Director positions are part of the governing body of club. We have board of directors meeting a couple of times a year to discuss rules and regulations, plus duties for upcoming tournaments, membership fees, and any other member concerns.

Committees once we have full board. Members on committees can also be just club members.
Tournament Chairperson – Procuring tournament sites for dates board agrees on.
Product Designer – Ways & Means Coordinator – Maintains inventory of our items for sale, presents ideas to board or members regarding new items (usually purchased for Friendship Tournament and Christmas Banquet)
Banquet Coordinator – 3 tournaments a year that we have had banquets in the past would like to continue. Banquets can be hosted at bowling center or restaurant close to hosting site of tournament.
Sunshine Coordinator – handles sending out birthday cards, etc.… Flowers for special events. Board sets spending limits.
Web Master. We lost our website when the board member who hosted and maintained site retired off board. I’m not qualified to set up or house a website. We still own our website name it just needs to be recreated and modernized. I would like to have a tournament calendar available on site for members to see, plus all entry forms electronic to complete. I will need someone familiar with processes to advise membership of costs to incorporate these features.
I’m hoping each and everyone is interested in either becoming a board member or volunteer on committees or working tournaments. This is your club and I would like to make it great again.
