BYLAWS

Rules: This group shall function according to USBC, National 600 Bowling Club, Inc., and California State Women’s 600 Bowling Club rules and regulations. All rules and regulations of this club may be changed by two-thirds (2/3)-majority vote of the membership present.

Membership: A 600 Club membership shall be open to any female member of the USBC who bowls a series score of 600 or more in the first three (3) games in a certified league or tournament. A bowler must be a member of the National 600 Bowling Club, Inc. and California State Women’s 600 Bowling Club in order to join the Orange County 600 Club. The local secretary must be notified of any address changes in order to receive 600 Club notices.

Meetings: There shall be one (1) business meetings per year and each member to be notified in writing or email. All Orange County 600 Club tournaments, meetings or other notices will be mailed, emailed, texted and/or Facebook®.

Dues: The National 600 Bowling Club Inc. dues are $18.00 for Life Membership and you’ll receive a card, label pin and patch. California State Women’s 600 Bowling Club dues are $15.00 for Membership and you’ll receive card, lapel pin and patch, then annual dues of $5 effective 8/1/2013. The initial Orange County 600 Club dues are FREE the first year (season 9/1-8/31) and receive card and lapel pin. Annual renewal date is September 1st of each year and dues are $10.00 ($8.25 Club fees plus $1.75 secretary fee). Dues are delinquent December 1st. All checks must be made payable to Orange County 600 Club. Membership cutoff date for current season is June 1st.

Banking: All moneys of this club shall be deposited in an insured account. Two signatures of officers will be required for withdrawal. With limited use permission has been given to President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer can acquire Debit Cards from Wells Fargo.

Officers: Officers shall consist of, President, Vice President, Tournament Director, Secretary/Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms, and six (6) Directors.
a) The President, Sergeant-at-Arms and Directors 1-3-5 will be elected in odd numbered years
b) Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and Directors 2-4-6 will be elected in even numbered years
c) All Officers and directors will be elected for a two- (2) year term. 
d) Elections take place at Annual Meeting.
e) Newly elected officers and directors will take office on September 1st. 
f) The President will appoint any vacancy for any office before end of term.
g) Product Direct – Elected by the Board

Uniform: Effective September 1, 2006, the official uniform of the Orange County 600 Club will consist of official shirt and Black pants, skirts, walking shorts or culottes. No bicycle shorts, spandex or leggings. The shirt tan button down with black trim for $40.00, prior shirt was tan with black trim pullover. The pull over shirt is still acceptable as uniform since it is not longer available. A new member may bowl in tournament if shirt is on order but not received at the time of tournament. There will be a $10.00 fine, to be strictly enforced, for those out of uniform.

Tournament: The Board of Directors shall arrange to conduct tournaments during the year. Tournaments shall be held at bowling centers where there are certified leagues, and awarded to centers on availability basis. All tournaments will be certified (except Anchorman Trio and Christmas) If handicapped, 90% of 220 will be used, using current book average or summer average. Tournament format will be set by discretion of the Board of Directors. Prize money will be awarded for highest scores and divided equally in case of ties. Pay off of prize money will be mailed within 15 days of end of tournament.

The following Tournaments are set one (1) year in advance:

A) Doubles Tournament (Mystery)
B) Anchorman Trio (March)
C) Singles – Annual Meeting 
D) Friendship Tournament (October)
E) Invitational in the Fall
F) Christmas Party (December)
The Board of Directors will arrange tournaments during the year and set all dates.
